Contact Us

All enquiries to the surgery should be submitted through our online form below. Using the online form helps keep our phone lines available for those without internet access or who need additional assistance in contacting the surgery.

When the form is unavailable, you can access many services using your NHS App.

Calling the Surgery

If you would prefer to call the surgery, you still can, although it is often quicker to send your request online. When calling the surgery, you will be met with the following options:

Option 1: Home Visits

  • Any requests for home visits should be made before 11 am, as they are done after morning surgery and are arranged according to the degree of urgency.
  • Home visits are for terminally ill or truly bedbound patients where travel to the surgery by car would cause deterioration in their medical condition or unacceptable discomfort.

Option 2: Prescriptions

  • In most instances, prescriptions cannot be taken over the telephone. Prescription requests and queries should be dealt with via the NHS App, systmonline or patient online form (systmconnect).
  • By requesting your prescription online, you help reduce 30% of unnecessary calls to the surgery.
  • If you are unable to request your prescription online, you will be asked to leave a message with your request. These messages are monitored and should only be used by those who genuinely cannot request their prescription online. Anyone found to be abusing the system will be asked to stop using it.

Option 3: Test Results

  • If you are awaiting test results from the surgery, please note that we will only contact you if we need to; we do not contact patients when test results are normal.
  • Please do not call the surgery for test results; they can be found within your NHS App, or you can make an enquiry using our online request form.
  • We cannot provide you with test results unless we requested them, for example, blood tests requested at the hospital by your consultant.
  • More information about test results can be found here

Option 4: Referrals

  • If your doctor or healthcare practitioner has referred you to a specialist, you can track this referral using your NHS App.
  • We cannot chase referrals on your behalf; you should contact the hospital or department to which you have been referred for further information.

Press 0: To join the Reception Call Queue

  • Once in the queue, if you are waiting for 5 minutes, you will be asked whether you would like to receive a callback. By choosing the callback option, you will keep your place in the queue, and a member of the team will return your call when you reach the top!
  • If you choose not to accept a callback, you will remain in the queue until a team member becomes available
